All people, as they get older, tend to experience problems with their balance & general mobility.  The NHS choices website often has lots of useful information from minor ailments to more serious illnesses and dietary/lifestyle advice.  They now also have a series of four leaflets which you may find helpful if you want to do some simple exercises to improve your balance, strength, flexibility and also seated exercises at home.
