Asthma Clinic
- Held by Sarah & Suzanna
- Various clinic times at both Meriden and Balsall Common
- Additional Information: For all patients registered with the Practice with a diagnosis of Asthma. The GP will advise when you should book a check with our Asthma Nurse.
Once you have been seen by the Asthma nurse for your initial assessment you will be able to book further Asthma follow-up appointments online if you have been given a username and password by the surgery

Cervical Smear
- Additional Information: To avoid cancer of the neck of the womb, cervical cytology is carried out by doctors and nurses in the practice. An invite letter will be sent to you by the Practice. For females 25 years of age and over

Diabetes Clinic

- Additional Information: For all patients registered with the Practice with a diagnosis of Diabetes (Type I or II). The GP will advise when you should book a check with our Diabetes Nurse.

Family Planning Clinic
- Additional Information: Service offered inhouse by Dr Nadeem.
Dr Nadeem offer a coil-fitting service for gynaecology needs and for contraception. If you wish to know more, please ask reception to make an appointment in person for a discussion.
Contraceptive implants and their removal - Dr Nadeem oversees the contraceptive implants

Flu
- Additional Information: In accordance with Department of Health guidelines, we recommend 'flu vaccination for the elderly and patients with chronic heart, lung or kidney disease and diabetes. The vaccination is available from October onwards but always check with the surgery first. We often run Flu clinics on saturday mornings. Our Reception staff will be able to advise on which dates these will take place.

Health Promotion and Disease Management
- Additional Information: These clinics are carried out by practice nurses. An invite letter from the Practice will be sent to you

Hearing Clinic
- Held by Specsavers Hearing Services
- Additional Information: Patients require a GP referral for this service. Patients are contacted direct by the hearing team. Appointments are available at Balsall Common surgery only

Minor Surgery
- Held by Dr Nadeem and Dr Horsley
- Various clinic appointments available
- Additional Information: Dr Nadeem and Dr Horsley perform minor surgery, obviating the need for you to go to hospital. If a doctor recommends this sort of treatment, arrangements will be made for you to be placed onto a waiting list and then contacted by the surgery regarding your appointment details. Appointments held at Balsall Common surgery only.

Phlebotomy (Blood Taking) Clinic

- Additional Information: We ask our Patients who need to Fast (not eat or drink anything 12 hours before their blood test - except drink water) and to book an early morning slot at the surgery.

Physiotherapy
New Service Operating
Are you experiencing muscle or joint pain?
You can now see a Specialist Physiotherapist at the Balsall Common Surgery.
The Physio will support you in being referred for further treatment, helping with pain relief, managing/improving your condition and discuss any worries or concerns.
Appointments with our Physiotherapy Team can now be booked online or with our Reception Team

- Additional Information: Appointments are managed by the MSK Service. Patients are required to contact the service once they have been referred to arrange their own appointment. A variety of locations are available. Balsall Common have a designated area for Physiotherapy patients within the new building

- Additional Information: For all patients registered with the Practice who require help and support to give up smoking. Our Reception staff will be able to advise when these clinics are available.

Maternity Services (Antenatal and Postnatal Care)
- Held by Community Midwife
- Additional Information: Patients of the practice are booked for Maternity Services. These clinics are carried out at Balsall Common surgery. The midwife will arrange your hospital confinement. Please contact the surgery once your pregnancy is confirmed and you will be given the contact details of the midwife attached to our surgery. The midwife will advise you when to book any follow-up appointments. All postnatal checks are carried out by the GP. A letter to advise you of your postnatal check will be sent to you.
