Please remember to bring your blood test form to your blood test appointment - if you have not got a form please make reception aware of this when making your appointment

Queen Elizabeth (QE) Hospital
On the QE site, a GP walk-in service is provided in the Anti-Coagulant department. This service is open from 8am to 1.45pm, Monday to Friday, for clinically urgent samples, or those patients who it has not been possible to bleed successfully at the surgery. Location is Anticoagulant Clinic in the Heritage Building west ground.
Please note, they do not offer a walk-in service in the main outpatients on the QE site.
Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital
Adults and Children over 12 can attend a walk-in service at Good Hope and Solihull Hospital.
Adults and Children over 16 can attend a walk-in service at Birmingham Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospital.
Adult patients should only be directed to the hospital site for clinically urgent samples, or those patients who it has not been possible to bleed successfully at the surgery.
Children under 12 can currently only be bled in the blood room adjacent to Ward 14 at BHH. Whenever possible this should be by appointment, patients are asked to arrange a booked appointment unless they need an urgent sample, If urgent we will accept walk in paediatric patients on the day. Only Trust patients, under the age of 12 can be bled on the Good Hope site.
Please note - If you are having your blood test at Solihull Hospital you will have to collect your signed blood test request form from the surgery to take with you
Paediatric (child) Phlebotomy Service
This is run at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital. Please contact the following number to be allocated an appointment time to attend 0121 424 1528.
- Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm
The surgery are no longing taking Fasting Blood Tests unless specifically requested by a GP at the practice
Blood Test Results
Blood test results are only available after 11am. Your blood test results can be obtained by telephoning or speaking to the Receptionist 1 week following your blood test after 11am. If telephoning for results, please choose Option 1 for the GP Practice then Option 4 for Results
